Why is the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 1 of the Top Xmas Toys 2016?
Calendar Artwork of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2016
The LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2016 has great artwork. The base picture has Hoth on the right, Naboo in the center and Tatooine on the left. This adds hugely to the authenticity of the calendar and lays the groundwork for many adventures in the galaxies far, far away. The artwork gives the toy a nice Star Wars feel and makes the calendar even more exciting because you wonder which mini-figures or mini-builds you will find in certain sections of the galaxy. The artwork is also the feature that enables the calendar to double as a play mat after Christmas has arrived, on which countless adventures and battles can take place between all 24 mini-toys. Children will be blasting through the galaxy and creating scenarios throughout the holiday. This is a main reason that it is 1 of the top Xmas toys 2016.
What Do You Get on Each Day Leading up to Christmas?
On each of the 24 days leading up to Christmas, you or your kid can open up a door somewhere in the galaxy, behind each you will find a small Lego set. The under-side of each door gives users some guidelines that will aid you in putting the mini-figures and mini-builds together. By Christmas, the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2016 would have presented you with 24 different mini-toys as well as the galaxy play-mat to ensure a Star Wars-filled holiday season. Here is a summary of what you can expect on each day:
1st Day
Beneath the first door that you open a door, you will uncover a Slave 1 craft. It has all the authentic colors and is a great start to your Star Wars adventure.
2nd Day
Underneath the second door you will find the means to create a Bespin Guard. In this set he actually comes with two pistols.
3rd Day
On the third day, you will build the TIE interceptor. The first ever mini-build of such a TIE interceptor. It has been designed well and has an authentic shape.
4th Day
Today you will create a Death Star Trooper. This is a black mini-figure with a pistol and he wears that weirdly shaped hat.
5th Day
Beneath this door you will find the pieces to build a Hoth Turret. It has a simplistic shape but this has made it recognizable at this small size.
6th Day
On the sixth day you will search and uncover the pieces to create the latest version of the snow trooper, another inhabitant of Hoth. He is very well detailed and features a backpack, helmet and blaster rifle.
7th Day
The first Christmas-themed figurine will be uncovered today as you create an imperial officer snowman. He has an imperial officer helmet but a large carrot for the nose and a small snowball blaster by his side makes this a definite Christmas character.
8th Day
A dish cannon order of the day on number eight. This is scaled perfectly for any of the other mini-figures to hold onto it as if to be firing the cannon. The spider web component is one of the best in the whole set.
9th Day
Today you will find and create a Hoth Trooper. He has a helmet with a gap for his eyes, holds a pistol in one hand and once again features awesome detailing.
10th Day
Find and build a Republic Attack Cruiser. Simplicity and a a few key features have once again resulted in this piece being very recognizable. A red stripe down the middle, small binoculars on top and two large engines at the back make it unmissable.

11th Day
On day eleven you will find and create the droid federation tank. This has curved edges along the bottom as well as long pistol pieces to ensure it looks authentic.
12th Day
Find and build your own droid gunship. Another first of its kind as a mini-build. It’s authentic in appearance, fetauring sloped pieces at the back and joystick pieces representing the well-known cannons at the front.
13th Day
Find the right door, uncover the parts and create a tan battle droid. He also holds a blaster rifle in one hand.
14th Day
An awesome day as you create OB-1’S Jedi Star-Fighter. It is very recognizable due to a sloped piece behind the cockpit and excellent use of colors.
15th Day
Open the door and create a Tantive iv. Six large thrusters at the rear and two cones that represent the bridge at the front make this piece very identifiable.
16th Day
Find the pieces to create a protocol droid that is gun-metal in color. Because he follows on from the Tantive iv, he may well actually be U3-PO. He has excellent detailing on his body.
17th Day
Open the door and uncover the pieces to create a Gonk Droid. He’s brown and looks very authentic considering the simplicity of this mini-figure.
18th Day
Today you will create Jabba’s palace. The palace itself is grey and surrounded by a desert environment.
19th Day
A great day for die-hard fans. Uncover and build Luke Skywalker. He wears the outfit in which he appears in his final duel and carries a green light saber. This is an awesome inclusion of a classic Star Wars character.
20th Day
Search the galaxy for a door, behind which you will find the components to build a desert skiff. It’s grey and brown and has cool pieces representing the rear fins.
21st Day
Today you will create a Storm Trooper. He has a good amount of detail and his disgruntled face should make you laugh, he features a storm trooper helmet and a medium blaster.
22nd Day
On day 22 you will create a white imperial landing craft. The build has a lengthy body and an adjustable cockpit component.
23rd Day
Open the door to uncover the pieces that form a sleigh. It’s a Christmas piece and has seasonal hockey sticks as well as a puck. There’s a brown satchel on the sleigh that holds ice skates, these will fit onto any of the mini-figures you’ve built so they can all have a bit of a Christmas theme.
24th Day
This is the last day and most exciting. You will find and create an exclusive Chewbacca mini-figure. He is white in color and features a Christmas colored ammo belt around his shoulder. He is armed with a snowball-shooting crossbow and even comes with his own mini Christmas tree. Collectors will love this one.
Christmas Day
Merry Christmas, open up your presents and play with your 24 mini-figures and mini-toys in a galaxy far, far away.
